“Circle Lodge is a private domestic estate with five individual villas. After introducing the source separation of waste programme, we increased the quantity of recyclables collected by 58% - from 11 kg per household per month in early 2007 to 17.4 kg per household per month in early 2008. We received a Silver Award in the Competition on Source Separation of Domestic Waste 2007/08. Our participation in this programme has greatly improved our tenants’ awareness and participation in environmental protection activities.”

Posters about the Programme on Source Separation of Domestic Waste are regularly displayed to encourage residents to separate their waste and enhance their awareness of waste recovery.   Waste separation bins are placed in prominent locations to collect waste paper, metal and plastics.
